Good Morning! I can’t believe it’s the middle of the week already. I guess that’s what happens when you finish a trip on a Monday (check out yesterdays post if you want to read about my trip to Stockholm). How has your week been going?
Back in Canada, it is Remembrance Day today. This day has always struck a cord with me as my grandfather was a veteran. He passed away almost 7 years ago so whenever this day comes around, it’s a little tougher than most days. I just want to thank all the past, present, and future soldiers that risk their lives to keep us safe.
I kind of had a meh day yesterday so I just took it in strides. I stayed in bed way longer than I usually do, I watched way too many episodes of Scrubs, and I ate lots of chocolate. Some times you just need to have one of those days.
Today, I’m going to be sharing with you what I put into my body yesterday. I had wanted to do it based of one of the days we were in Sweden, but I failed at taking pictures of my food. I guess I still feel awkward when other people are around and I want to take pictures of my food. Anyways, I just want to give a big thank you to Jenn for this link up and to Laura for hosting this week!
What I Ate
I woke up yesterday around 10, but besides a trip to the bathroom for some water and to grab my computer, I didn’t get out of bed until 1. It had been a windy, grey day outside so I knew I wanted something hot for
breakfast lunch. I ended up making oatmeal with chia seeds, cinnamon, apple sauce, and almond milk. When it was done, I topped it with peanut butter and banana. After eating, I got to work on going through my pictures from Sweden and putting together my recap post. During this time, Matthias’ mom brought me up some cake that was really good. I also snacked on a couple mini Daim chocolate bars.I worked away on my post for most of the afternoon. Afterwards, I spent time watching YouTube videos and reading blogs. Basically anything that didn’t require a lot of thinking. I was looking forward to making supper so as soon as I was starting to get hungry I got to work. I snacked on a red pepper while my sweet potatoes and chicken was cooking. I had missed sweet potato coins so much! I always forget how good they are. A little while later, I had a little snack of pineapple and the other half of my banana from the oatmeal smeared with crunchy peanut butter! I love crunchy peanut butter and it’s even better with banana. I’m writing this up a little early, but I have a feeling I’m going to go grab an Almond Magnum ice cream in a few minutes. Anyways, I hope you have a great Wednesday!
What do you do when you’re having a meh day?
How do you like to eat sweet potatoes?
