Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!I love Hump Day memes, they always make me laugh. How is your week going? Anything fun and exciting happy or are you just trying to power through until the weekend? I’m really looking forward to today. I’m heading into Hamburg with Matthias and when he’s through with his meetings at work, he’s going to show me around a couple places in the city! I’m really excited!
Onto the regularly scheduled program of today: What I Ate Wednesday! You already know this is one of my favourite days of the week! (I’ve realized I like all the days of the week for different reasons) As always, a big round of applause to Jenn for this link up! What’s interesting the past couple of days is that I’ve been accidentally been doing Intermittent Fasting. I’ve only been starting to eat around 2-3 pm and am done by 10 pm. I just really haven’t been hungry when waking up, even after a workout. It’s weird, but I’m listening to my body and feeding it when it is hungry. Anyways, on to my eats from Monday!
What I Ate
Lunch: 3 egg whites + 1 egg scrambled, rice cake with banana, peanut butter and chia seeds, and cottage cheese. This was a weird combo, but was really good. We needed egg yolks for supper which meant I got to use egg whites for myself! Liquid egg whites is one of the things I miss most (is that a weird thing to miss?)Snack: Cinnamon Twist Combat Crunch BarSupper: spaghetti carbonara that Matthias made. This tasted like I ordered it from a restaurant! Good job babe! Even though this made me feel kind of sick afterwards, I still really enjoyed it.More Snacks: pineapple and the last package of MyProtein Chocolate Protein Clusters That’s all she wrote friends! Good Morning! Happy Monday to everyone! Did you have a good weekend?
Today, I’m going to share a couple highlights from my weekend. I’ll be linking up with Katie for Marvelous in my Monday and Erin for Weekend Snapshots.
I had two really great workouts that I want to start this post with. On Friday, I went to a nearby park and did sprints for 15 minutes before jogging home. When I got back, I knocked out a really good back and biceps workout. On Sunday, I completed the following full body workout that left me very sweaty:I set a timer for 7 minutes of work and 3 mins of rest. During the 7 minutes, I competed the circuit as many times as possible before resting for three minutes and moving onto the next circuit. So all in all, it’s a 30 minute workout that got my heart rate up and really sweaty. A couple notes on the movements since I could’t fit the full name of the exercises in: for the split squats, I actually did them with one-leg on a bench and for the side lunges, I used a towel under one foot and did sliding ones

Matthias and I have also been getting out for a walk almost everyday before we start making supper. We joked yesterday that we felt like an old married couple by doing this, but I really enjoy this time. It’s a good time to talk and take in the nice weather.

Good Afternoon! How is everyone’s weekend going? The weather here has been sunny and fall-like temperatures so I can’t complain!
I’m popping in today to share my second installment of Matthias and I’s Weekly Meal Plan! As mentioned last week, Matthias and I have been planning and cooking our meals here at his parent’s house. This past week had some simple, yet tasty meals! Let’s get to it!
Weekly Meal Plan: Week of 9/20-9/26
Sunday: As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts this week, we attempted to make our first lasagna! We used a package mix, but it still turned out alright. I ended up getting my mom’s recipe later that night so we’re looking forward to trying that out at some point. We had to have garlic bread with it so I obviously ate half of it.Monday: I also talked about this in an earlier post, but Monday night we went to a pub with a couple of Matthias’ friends and I got a Hawaiian pizza. This was ok, I loved the amount of ham on it, but would have liked to see some more pineapple on it!Tuesday: We made a casserole on Tuesday and holy cow it was good! It was whole wheat penne pasta, ham, cheese, and some stuff in a package. It was like a pumped up mac and cheese type thing. It was really good and took almost no time at all!Wednesday: I love tacos! We moved Taco Tuesday to Wednesday and I was so happy to eat tacos again! I made a super simple guac (if you can even call it that). All I did was mash up some avocado and add some spices to it. Not really guacamole, but still equally tasty. I also put too much stuff in my taco causing it to tear, but it was still delicious! I may have had two more after this one! Those corn tortillas are like my new favourite thing!Thursday: We decided to have salmon on Thursday only it was wrapped in bacon! Too be honest, the bacon flavour didn’t really come out all that much, but it was still pretty tasty. We had it with rice and broccoli.Friday: We were meant to make this stew thing with coconut milk, but our carrots had gone off so I improvised. I roasted some potatoes in the oven and while those were doing their thing, I started to cook some chicken in a pan. When it was just about done, I threw in some red peppers and zucchini. It turned out pretty yummy!Saturday: This supper I was looking forward to all week! We made burgers! I topped mine with lettuce and swiss cheese. For my condiments, I had peanut butter and honey mustard! It was really good! (Fun Fact: as soon as I took this picture, the top patty slid off!)Those were our meals this week! Most of the meals this week I’m looking forward to as well. I’ll be sure to let you know next Sunday what we made!
What’s your favourite burger topping? I love putting peanut butter on mine, but I also really like having an over easy egg so that the yolk can ooze all over my other toppings.

Friday Favorites #25: Week of 9/25
I think this is a no-brainer that any kind of sweets I’m going to like. However, I’ve been having a slight obsession with donuts as of late. I drool over them on Instagram almost everyday! Anyways, on Wednesday I was at the mall and picked up a couple for Matthias and I to try! I got them from this place called Monkey Donuts. There is Cookies on the top and American Cheesecake on the bottom. I didn’t find the flavors really stood out, but the donut itself was really great. It was just how I wanted a donut to be. Of the two, I think I preferred the cheesecake one, but overall they weren’t anything amazing.
Since Matthias and I plan our meals for the week in advance, I have been popping on Pinterest a lot more than I used to. Anyways, I have found way too many fall recipes I want to try. I think I’m going to pick 1 every two weeks to try, but I don’t know if I can get all of the things I’ll need here in Germany. We’ll have to see! I also just realized that that list is comprised of apple and pumpkin recipes, but that about sums up what I want in the fall!

- Last food you ate? I had a piece of toast with peanut butter and chia seeds before going grocery shopping this morning. I also brought along a Chocolate Caramel protein shake to drink in the car before we got there.
- Last beverage you drank? Water! I almost always have a bottle with me when I’m at home and sometimes on the go too!
- Last workout? I did a quick chest and triceps workout yesterday. I didn’t think I would be too sore, but my chest is hurting today!
- Last think you pinned? Baked Pumpkin Cream Cheese French Toast. Did I not mention that I’m obsessed with looking at pumpkin recipes? (basic.)
- Last text message you sent? I sent this to Matthias last night when supper was almost ready and he was upstairs
- Last blog you visited? Courtney’s so I could get the blog questions!
- Last tweet you sent? Fun fact: I haven’t tweeted since May 30th, but nonetheless here it is
- Last place you visited? the grocery store (my favorite place!)
- Last time you did ab work? … it’s been awhile. Well a lot of the exercises I do for other body parts incorporate keeping my abs tight, but I think it’s been over two weeks since I’ve done an ab strictly movement.
- Last show you watched? Nashville! I love that fall tv has started up again! I watched the season premiere yesterday!
- Last thing you baked? Our salmon was baked in the oven last night, but actually baked was probably donuts awhile ago! I definitely need to bake something soon!
- Last thing you instagrammed? Matthias and I 🙂
- Last item on your to-do list today? German once I finish this post and workout.

Good Morning! I find it hard to believe that it’s already Wednesday! How has your week been going?
I feel like I always say in the post I’m writing that it’s my favorite day of the week, but I guess I just like everyday. Wednesdays are especially fun because I get to share a full day of eats with you! I love this because these are my favorite posts to read. Am I the only one that is super nosy? Today I’ll be sharing what I put into my body on Monday! As always, a huge thank you to the wonderful creator of this link up and for helping to support my nosiness, Jenn! Now let’s get into it!
What I Ate
Breaky: two pieces of french toast topped with banana, peanut butter, and protein frosting. I also had the left over egg mixture with peanut butter. Using full eggs doesn’t really taste as good as using egg whites in my opinion. I desperately need to find some! Any German readers know where I can find egg whites?Snack: I shared these chocolate protein clusters from MyProtein with my boyfriend (by share I mean he had one and I ate three) Lunch: leftover pork chop that was done on the grill with cottage cheese and cucumberSnack: This was shared with the boyfriend too (I had two and he had one). Plain rice cakes with crunchy peanut butter, banana, and cinnamonSupper: we met up with a couple of Matthias’ friends at a pub and I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and had my first German beer! The pizza was okay and if I’m being honest, the beer wasn’t all that great (don’t hate me!)One last snack: a Magnum White when we got home, these are one of my favorite ice cream bars!I noticed in most of the pictures, you can see I’m wearing sweats. I promise I wear normal clothes too, but when you’re sitting at home, you need the comfy clothes on (am I right?)

Hi Everyone! I guess my brain isn’t used to posting on a Sunday because I completely forgot to check in yesterday to share my weekend with you! A day late, but at least it’s here!

So what did my weekend consist of? Way too much chocolate, shopping, and chill time.
Matthias and I started the weekend off with shopping at the outlet mall, at a department store, and at the grocery store. As I mentioned on Friday, I bought new pair of Nike’s and a casual pair of sneakers from the brand Esprit. The latter pair make me feel like Ellen Degeneres a little bit!I also have clown feet and I find these sneakers really emphasize that. Nonetheless, I am really starting to like them.
We also did our food shopping for the week on Friday. While there, we picked up a treat for Saturday night that we devoured in less than 20 minutes while watching Get Hard. It was alright. I mean ice cream is always good, but this flavor just didn’t really do it for me. I also ate all of the Toffifees! They’re just so good that I can never stop at one! The movie was also alright. I mean it was what I expected it to be. I laughed quite a few times too.
Sunday afternoon we took a walk around his neighborhood. He took me on a different loop that I ended up running the next day in the rain. When we got home, we started making lasagna. This was the first time both of us had made it so we used a package. It turned out pretty good! It definitely wasn’t my mom’s, but it wasn’t bad. We ate it while watching football (soccer) of course.All in all, it was very relaxing. I’d love to hear how you spent your weekend!
Hello! How is everyone’s weekend going? We’ve had a pretty low-key weekend in my neck of the woods, but those are fun too every now and then.
Anyways, since Matthias and I have been planning our meals since I’ve been here, I thought I would start sharing our weekly plans. Everything from our first week was really tasty so let’s get to it!
Sunday: out to eat with Matthias’ family at a Greek restaurant. I didn’t take a picture of my food, but I had the turkey souvlaki with a salad and fries. It was really good!
Monday: chicken, broccoli, penne pasta and pesto. I don’t have a picture of this either because I was starving when I sat down, but it was also really good. We cooked everything then threw it all together with some pesto. It was quick and simple.
Tuesday: breakfast for supper! We made bacon pancakes and pancakes with Kinder chocolate in them. We ate them in front of the tv so he could watch the football (soccer) game. I’ve watched more soccer this past week than in all my life combined. I’m actually starting to enjoy it even if I don’t really know what’s happening. Wednesday: pesto salmon with rice and broccoli. As you can see, we like pesto. We put some on top of salmon before putting it in the oven to cook. We paired it with basmati rice and broccoli. I never really liked rice, but this stuff is really nice and moist!Thursday: chicken with rice and broccoli. Besides pesto, we also like rice and broccoli apparently. It’s just easy to cook and goes great with everything!Friday: not pictured, but we had a BBQ with his parents. I had potato salad, bean salad, turkey, veggies, and a German hot dog. All of it was super tasty!
Saturday: “chicken” cordon bleu with rosemary potato wedges. I put chicken in quotation marks because we actually used pork. They turned out really good! All in all, it was a very good week of food!
