Good Morning! Today I have a quick post with my eats from Monday. My sister is graduating so I’m headed there right now. As always, a big thanks to Jenn for hosting every week!
What I Ate
As I was putting this post together I realized I hardly took any pictures. I thought I snapped a pic of everything I ate, but I guess not. Anyways, here’s what I ate on Monday
Breaky: green protein pancakes
Afternoon snack: quest bar
Supper: last night was my sister’s pin dinner (she’s graduating from nursing and it is a tradition) so the meal was pretty fancy. It started with a spinach salad which was really tasty, but there was way too much dressing on it. I had the salmon as my main and it wasn’t the best unfortunately. It was grilled, but all I could taste was burnt. Dessert was chocolate or white cake and was alright. I was expecting more to be honest.
After the dinner, there was a dance that my sister and I stayed for. We had a few drinks which made today kind of rough, but I was happy I got to celebrate with my sister.

Good morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent part of the weekend with my mom and part of it back home. It was a great time. I thought I would share some marvelous things that happened. Thanks Katie for hosting!
Chip Esten replied to my tweet on Friday! I was listening to his performance at the Opry online. I lost it when I got the notification! I love his music and his acting. He was absolutely hilarious on Whose Line too. I want to see him live so bad. He played at one of the Rock N Roll races this year I think too.
Having Wendy’s for supper on Saturday. I had to go down to the bowling alley where my dad works to help him set up his new phone. We went and got Wendy’s when I was done. Nothing like a JBC and a Frosty to dip my fries in.
When my dad texts. Below is the conversation that my sister sent me of my dad texting her. He is just too funny.
Last night I was craving something sweet and wanted to keep it relatively healthy. I made a chocolate mug cake and had it with some ice cream. The mug cake turned out kind of wonky. The texture was more spongy and brownie like if that makes sense.
Well I’m off to go eat breakfast and get ready. My sister comes home today!! Let me know what you did this weekend!
Good Morning! How is everyone’s Friday going? I am taking the day off from working out, my body could use some rest. I am planning on heading to my mom’s later today so I can help her with a sale tomorrow.
For today’s post, I thought I would try something new and share my favourites from the week. I am linking up with Heather from Housewife Glamour. I have been reading her blog for almost a year now and love that she started this link up!
One of my friends invited me out to play on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week! My upper body is hurting today, but it was so much fun! Before Tuesday, I hadn’t played since March in intramurals so the first game was a little rough. Last night was the most fun since there were only 5 to a team. I love that it is mostly older, French men that play because it is absolutely hilarious. They basically just chirp each other the entire time.
#2: weird combinations
Last night for supper I was craving nachos. I wanted to make BBQ chicken ones, but I need to get groceries because I didn’t have any chicken. Instead, I added scrambled eggs to the top of them. They were so tasty! I only wish that I had some peppers or mushrooms that I could have added in.
Speaking of nachos, I really want to try Morganne’s Sweet Potato Breakfast Nachos. How good do these look?!
#3: QUEST BARS
I finally bit the bullet and bought two boxes of Quest Bars. I had received the Raspberry White Chocolate bar in a previous Kona Kase, but have been dying to try Cookies and Creme and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Instead of just buying one bar of each, I casually bought a box of each. The Cookies and Creme is so good! I’m planning on trying the CCCD one today.
I thought I would keep today’s post short and sweet. I’d love to hear what some of your favourites were this week!

What I Ate
I had food safety training yesterday morning so I was up earlier than usual to finish up some pre-reading for it.
Pre-breaky: banana while I did some last minute prep for the course
Breaky: Kashi Go Lean Crunch! Honey Almond Flax with almond milk and more banana
Snacks: I had some almonds during the course
Lunch: my co-workers and I were treated to Cora’s by one of our managers! I went for the Chicken panini-crepe. I forgot to take a picture and it was essentially this, but with chicken instead of beef
Snack: I had an apple in the afternoon before taking a cat nap that ended up being two hours… oops
Supper: when I woke up from my nap, I had some chicken and broccoli and unpictured bread (sorry for the dark picture)
I also went to volleyball last night that was 3 hours long! I hadn’t played since March so it was great to play again, but I sure was rusty. When I got home, I had a handful of almonds before watching The Voice finale. Out of the final three I would have been happy to see any of them win, but I’ve watched Christina on YouTube for many years so I was rooting for her. I did have a feeling Josh was going to win in the end though. Congrats to all of them! I almost died when I heard Adam say he was going to sign Christina!

Good Afternoon! How was everyone’s weekend? I’m going to fill you in on my weekend and link up with Katie for another Marvelous in my Monday post!
Seeing wildlife outside. The house my mom and I were cleaning on Friday was recently built in a new area so there are constantly deer around. I went outside to get this picture and there were two other ones just walking around.
The sun and heat! We had amazing weather the past few days. Friday evening I ran to the gym, worked out, then ran back home. I didn’t realize it, but it was 27 degrees out! I was a hot mess when I made it back home, but it was so awesome. I had an awesome COLD smoothie afterwards to cool down before heading out to get some groceries.
Blackberries! I picked up two containers the other day and have already ate all of them! They are so so so good!
The return of green protein pancakes! I had some Saturday morning for the first time in about a week and they are hands down my favourite breakfast. I’ve been loving topping them with almond butter, cinnamon and chia seeds.
Seeing friends I haven’t seen in awhile. One of my work friends had some people over Saturday night. It was nice seeing everyone because some of them aren’t going back to where I work so I’m not sure how often I’ll be seeing them.

Happy Friday! Yesterday, my mom and I did another four houses before coming home and relaxing. This morning I am doing one with her then heading back home. Even though I’ve been working the whole time here, I love spending time with my mom.
1. NASHVILLE!! HOLY CRAP!!! I don’t want to spoil the season finale for anyone that has yet to watch it, but it was so good! Deacon is my favourite character hands down, well besides Daphne because she is so cute. Did anyone else watch Whose Line is it Anyway? I loved Chip on it which basically means whenever he is in something, he is my favourite character. The best part about this finale is that I don’t have to stress out about whether or not someone dies!
2. It is suppose to be really nice this weekend! Like in the 20s! Hello shorts weather finally! Well at least until next week when it starts cooling off again.
3. Since the weather is suppose to be so nice, I am planning on going on some runs. I couldn’t be more happy!
4. I get to go grocery shopping when I get home today. Does anyone else love groceries or is just me? I could spend hours at a grocery store. I really want to buy some watermelon, but I don’t think it is on sale anywhere. I might hit up Costco to stock up on some staples too.
5. By staples, I mean staple items for my kitchen not actual staples. I read it over and couldn’t help but giggle.
6. Being up the past few days around 6 has made me super tired come 8. I haven’t actually been able to get to sleep earlier though. I’ll go to bed, but can’t fall asleep. Side note: Marcus can fall asleep in like .02 seconds, but it takes me at least a half hour. Anyone else like this?
7. I’m going to the gym at some point today too finally. I know I was only gone for two days, but once I have a routine, I like sticking with it. Still trying to decide what I’m going to do when I go so if anyone has any ideas let me know! I was thinking some HIIT and arms, but I kind of want to do legs. My only reason why I don’t want to do legs today is that I’ll be running lots this weekend and don’t want them to be unbearably sore.

If anyone read my post yesterday, you’ll know it was my 21st birthday! I still find it hard to believe. I thought I would share what I did.
I woke bright and early at 6 am! I’m down helping my mom with her cleaning business for a few days. Today was my first day with her and we had four houses to do. We finished the first one in about three hours then headed to the next. That one took us about an hour and a half. Afterwards, we took a little lunch break and ran an errand. The last two hours took around two hours each. The best part about the last house is that they have a daughter. She is almost a year old and has started crawling everywhere lately. She was absolutely adorable!
After we were done cleaning, we went and picked up a few things for supper. I decided I wanted tacos for my birthday supper. We also found a Cookies and Creme cheesecake that I decided I wanted for my birthday cake!
I was expecting it to be a lot better than it was! Don’t get me wrong, cheesecake is going to be good no matter what, but I had higher expectations for it. The cheesecake was coated in white chocolate which made it super rich and kind of hard to eat. It could also be because I don’t usually eat a lot of super sweet things anymore.
After the amount of junk I have been eating the past few days, I think it is time to do a bit of a reset and try to limit junk food.
