Jaime Eason’s LiveFit Trainer Phase 1: Review

Last week marked the end of phase one of Jaime Eason’s LiveFit Trainer! This post will be a review of the first four weeks.

PROS:

  • No Cardio!: when I first saw this I was a little sceptical, but I decided to not do it. However, I’ve been running with my sister, training for a 5K.
  • Exercises: all of the exercises I had to do were fairly understandable
  • Changes: in the four weeks I have noticed a change in my strength and I have more definition in my arms and legs

CONS:

  • No Cardio: I was starting to miss it which is why I began running with my sister
  • Soreness: the first week I could hardly move because of how sore I was. Although, after the first week I didn’t feel that much anymore
  • Diet: I didn’t follow the diet at all so I don’t know if I will still see the same results, but I’m okay with that since I’m mainly doing this program to increase my strength
  • Weight: my weight hasn’t changed at all, but I’m pretty sure I’ve lost some fat and added more muscle so it all evens out
  • Rest Time: I find a minute between sets is a little long so I reduced it to 30-45 seconds

Overall, the first month kept me busy and I enjoyed it. I’m two days into phase two and I can’t wait to see the changes after the next two weeks!

Smoothie Bowl

This morning I woke up knowing I wanted a smoothie bowl for breakfast. First, I had to get blood work done and go to the gym.

I had to fast before my blood work so I was starving when I got to clinic. I had to wait probably 20-30 minutes so when I got back to my car I inhaled a banana. After that I headed to the gym to complete the biceps and back workout from LiveFit. I started with five minutes on the stair climber just to warm myself up and then pounded out the eight exercises.

I headed to the kitchen as soon as I walked in the door. I threw strawberries, mango, raspberries, almond milk, soy yogurt, and protein powder into my cup and blended away. When it was done it was quite thick enough for a smoothie bowl so I just stirred in some chia seeds and sipped away.

I’ll be going for a run with my sister and a friend later tonight, but I have a craving to go now so I may go twice. Until then, I’ll be updating my workout log on paper. I’ve been thinking about starting a workout log online too.

Have a great day!

Question of the Day:
What are some of your favourite things to throw in a smoothie?

A New Week

This morning I let myself sleep in as I had a doctor’s appointment at 11:30 and was going to go to the gym afterwards. Around 9:30 I got out of bed (thanks to my stomach growling). I made some toast with peanut butter and sat down to start reading my emails.

After my doctor’s appointment I headed to the gym to begin week four of Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Trainer! Today’s workout was legs (my favourite)! When I got home from the gym I made eggs with turkey and peppers. My sister has been getting to go for runs with her, but she went with one of her friends today so I’m going to have to go myself once my supper settles.

For supper I made chicken breast, green beans, and carrots; it really hit the spot. I’m currently watching The Ellen Degeneres Show and anxiously waiting so I can run.

Have a good night everyone!

Question of the Day:
When you run would you rather go by yourself or with a partner?

Saturday Morning

Good Morning Folks!

This morning I’m taking it easy and waiting for the sun to come out to go on my run. I made overnight oats last night and they are delicious (eating as I type). I followed Julie’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Overnight Oats recipe last night. When I woke up, I added some almond milk to get things moving, almond slivers, and peanut butter. I urge you to try them!

On today’s agenda besides going for a run is cleaning my room and a party with my friends! My room tends to get messy pretty quick because I just throw my clothes on the floor instead of putting them away or in a laundry basket. As for right now, I’m watching informercials (guilty pleasure) and surfing the net.

Question of the Day:

What’s your tv guilty pleasure?
