Well today marks the end of my 3rd week with Jaime Eason and the LiveFit Trainer. This week there was 5 days of workouts with legs being repeated twice. There was some new exercises, but nothing too hard. I was more sore this week, but I think it was because I upped my weight on a few exercises.
I had an embarrassing moment today at the gym. I was moving a workout bench over to a cable machine and it was a different bench that I usually use so I didn’t notice the handle on the bottom. It was heavier than the other ones so I was carrying it really awkwardly. When I was bringing it back one of the members showed me where the handle was. I was slightly embarrassed, luckily it was the end of my workout and I could take my red face to the locker room.
This week I also discovered a new favourite for breakfast and it will be perfect on hot summer days: smoothie bowls! I basically just make a smoothie, but make it thick and I don’t blend all the fruit entirely then pour it into a bowl. I add some chia seeds and I stay full until lunch!
The past few days I’ve also been running with my sister since she wants to get more fit. It’s been great sister bonding time and it makes me really want to enter a race or something. I’ve been looking at heart rate monitors a lot to and am leaning towards purchasing one.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been out of town most of this past week and just got home tonight. I haven’t been to the gym since last Tuesday so nothing new to talk about. I’m going tomorrow morning so I’ll have a new post then.

Since today is a holiday, the gym I go to was open 9-5. I was planning on going right at 9 so to beat the crowds, but only made it there shortly after 12. It was really crowded, but I went in did my leg routine and got out fairly quickly.
When I got home, I made a 4 egg white scramble with the rest of my red and yellow peppers. I’ve just been lazing around all day, doing laundry and getting ready to head out tomorrow. Tomorrow morning I want to try the 6 am spin class before doing my shoulders/abs workout. After that, I’ll be off to visit my boyfriend for a few days 🙂

I was planning on going to the gym around 7 again this morning, but slept in and went at 9 instead. It wasn’t very busy at all except the cleaning staff were cleaning in the weight area so that was a little distracting.
Today was day 9 of Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Trainer. Waking up, I was worried I would be as sore as I was last week after the first day, but there was hardly any pain! After my workout, i headed home to make a late breakfast.
I made a 1 egg and 3 or 4 egg white omelette with yellow and red peppers; it was delicious. After I ate this, I was craving peanut butter so I made a piece of toast and topped it with my favorite peanut butter! Around 12:30 I made a smoothie with strawberries, mangoes, yogurt, and almond milk. Again, it was very tasty!
I went to the last show of my old high school’s musical this afternoon and it was even better than when I saw it on Friday. One of my good friends is graduating this year and it was her last high school production as a lead. I’m so glad I got to see it, I’ve missed musicals since being away at university (they only do plays).
I’m headed to my sister’s for a little party in a little bit, but for now I plan on relaxing 🙂

Today I woke up to a cold, windy, rainy Saturday. This made getting out of bed at 7 a tough challenge. I made it to the gym around 7:30 and seeing hardly anyone there definitely made me happy. I don’t mind the gym being busy, but I love not having to wait for machines or feeling crowded.
With my day off yesterday, today marked the beginning of Jaime Eason’s LiveFit Trainer Week 2! I remember hating this day last week because I can’t stand narrow push ups. I find them very difficult, but I pushed through. After my workout, I headed home for breakfast.
Last night, I made overnight oats for this morning. My recipe included almond milk, oats, chia seeds, and soy yogurt (I have a thyroid deficiency and cannot have dairy products for 4 hours after taking my pill in the morning). I added some peanut butter and dug in! I didn’t mind the taste, but I think it was because of the soy yogurt. After eating half, I was out the door wand headed to my cottage to open it up for the summer.
I knew it was going to be cold out there, but with the wind coming off the water it was pretty frigid. For most of the morning I was inside with my aunt and cousins making a fire and catching up. My sister and I went to kick a soccer ball around until lunch was ready and to try and warm up. Overall, it was a great time and I loved getting to catch up with some family I haven’t seen in awhile.
For supper I made a baby spinach and arugula salad with celery, peppers, and cheese. I also had a chicken breast. It was delicious!

I just got back from looking all over my town for chia seeds. I went to two grocery stores looking for them and ended up buying a bag. For 300g, it cost me $14.99! I assumed they would be pricey, but not this expensive! When I run out, I’ll be shopping around to try and find my best deal.
I bought the chia seeds because I am trying out overnight oats tonight. I spend all morning looking up recipes and I can’t wait to give it a go (pictures to follow tomorrow). I’m getting up early to go to the gym tomorrow morning before going out to open up our cottage so I figured it would be easiest to just grab this once I hop out of the shower.
Today was a rest day so I haven’t done much. For breakfast I had about 3 egg whites with red and yellow peppers. For lunch I had a chicken sandwich with mustard and some cheese. I’m going to go cook some chicken so I can make a salad for supper.

Waking up this morning, I was ready to head to the gym and finish off my first week of Jaime Eason’s LiveFit Trainer. As soon as I got out of bed, I realized how sore I was from doing legs yesterday. I was very stiff and it hurts to sit down, but I love it. When I’m sore, I feel like I’m doing something.
For today’s workout, it was shoulders and abs. The exercises were:
– seated dumbbell press
– standing dumbbell straight-arm front deltoid raise
– side lateral raises
– seated bent-over rear deltoid raise
– exercise ball crunch
– air bike
I was done the 6 exercises within a half hour and the one that was the hardest was the standing straight-arm front deltoid raise. I was struggling one I got to rep 7 or 8. It felt good when I was done. Just like that I am done the first week since day 5-7 are rest days. As mentioned in my previous post, I will only be taking one day of rest before doing the next four days of week 2.
After returning home from the gym, I made a 1 egg and 2 egg whites omelet with ham and peppers. It was really satisfying and held me over until lunch where I finished off the rest of my turkey meatloaf. That is about all for today.
